Food was great service was great but the crab leg portion was too small Andover price
Okay so. You pay mostly for the view and the location. You get the chicken. Its truly okay. The beer selection is decent. But then you get the bill. And you can pay it. No problem usually. You paid 20 for the ferry and 17 for the parking, so you were prepared to spend some money. But when you get charged $9 for a Heineken, you can tell something is a little screwy. Also the service was too slow and too many things were out of stock for the prices to be justified as "high end". I'm just saying, maybe we can do better. Fire Island can do better.
Decent happy hour, but you have to sit at the bar for happy hour prices. Frozen margaritas were good & steamers fresh. Clams casino, not so great. If they aren't going to completely cut the clam away from the shell, what's the point of putting anything on top?
Noisey , they rushed our food, forgot our salad. I ordered mussels for an appetizer and they were cold, like they were cooked ahead of time, BC they came out fast. Food was fair. Wouldn't go back.
I had such a wonderful time at Maguire's!! I ordered the Shrimp and Scallop Pineapple Boat with Curry Rice!!! A wonderful light and refreshing dish!! It was little busy and we had to wait 15 - 20 minutes! But, it was worth the wait!! A definite must on my next trip back to Fire Island!!!
